DBT Group Therapy for Adults and Adolescents
**Due to overwhelming demand, we only have limited availability for our comprehensive DBT program at this time (in which a client would receive individual DBT, group DBT, and phone coaching in between sessions from a DBT trained therapist). You are welcome to complete our online referral form to go on our waitlist for the comprehensive program. Another option is for you to see an individual therapist from our clinic or outside our clinic while you attend our DBT skills group. With this option, your individual therapist may or may not have formal DBT training and offer phone coaching to you. However, you would be able to learn all of the DBT skills in a structured, class-like environment for 26 sessions, just like clients who are in our comprehensive DBT program. You can then discuss with your individual therapist how to apply the skills to help you achieve your therapy and life-worth-living goals.
To participate in a DBT skills group, an individual will need to be under the care of a clinician while attending group. If you or your loved one already have an individual therapist and would like to attend one of our skills groups, please complete our online referral form. We accept self-referrals and will contact you for a pre-group meeting (see below) when an opening becomes available.
If you already have a therapist and would like to join our skills group only, we will arrange a one-hour pre-group meeting to collect some background information, clinical history, reasons for seeking DBT skills group, and to provide some rules and expectations about participation in a skills group.
