Accepting New Clients? Not Accepting New Clients

Dr. Sasha Davis is currently on leave and not accepting new clients at this time.

Dr. Sasha Davis is a licensed psychologist in BC (#2699). She enters the therapeutic relationship with deep respect for each client’s unique personal experiences and expectations. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Simon Fraser University. Dr. Davis completed her residency in neuropsychology with London Health Sciences Centre and went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology and neuropsychology at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.

Dr. Davis has also provided supervised clinical services in many different local settings including the DBT Centre of Vancouver, Vancouver General Hospital’s Neurosciences Program, Providence Health Care’s Inner City Youth Mental Health Program, UBC Hospital’s BC Psychosis Program, and Child & Youth Mental Health Services. She has provided consultative psychological services with WorkSafe BC (the Workers’ Compensation Board of British Columbia).

Sasha’s clinical background includes training in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) across a variety of clinical issues. She has also received extensive training in neuropsychology which informs her understanding of the mind-body connection.

Sasha’s interpersonal style is collaborative, warm, empathic, and yet straightforward. She tailors evidence-based approaches to fit the needs of adults experiencing a range of difficulties relating to depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, psychosis, substance misuse, challenges coping with personal and work-related stressors, self-esteem challenges, grief, role transitions, and relationship difficulties including relational trauma. Sasha also recognizes that one’s personal challenges are often brought about in the context of colonialism, classism, racism/racialization, gender/sexual diversity, and ableism and she works with clients to address such intersecting issues in the therapy room.

Sasha was raised in Toronto. She lives and works on traditional, ancestral, and unceded Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh territories. Sasha enjoys spending time by the ocean and is inspired by the diverse forms of community engagement that Vancouver has to offer.

Please note that Dr. Davis does not currently see clients in our comprehensive DBT program but does offer individual therapy DBT-informed therapy to clients who do not require the full program.
